.575 Caliber Bullet Mold

LEE Mold with 2 cavities for .575 caliber round balls

Designed specifically for use with muzzleloading firearms or for reloading hunting cartridges, this precision-engineered mold facilitates the production of high-quality lead projectiles.

Manufactured to support high-volume casting operations, it enables efficient and consistent bullet production, ideal for both metallic and semi-metallic reloading enthusiasts.

The mold features a robust aluminum block reinforced with steel bushings and precision alignment pins, ensuring exceptional durability and corrosion resistance under rigorous field and workshop conditions.

Aluminum construction offers superior thermal conductivity compared to traditional iron molds, allowing for faster heat-up and cooldown cycles. This thermal efficiency significantly reduces the time required to reach optimal casting temperatures, enhancing overall productivity.

Additionally, the aluminum design reduces the mold’s weight by approximately one-third relative to iron counterparts, minimizing operator fatigue during extended casting sessions and improving handling ergonomics.

The two aluminum blocks are securely clamped using specialized tongs, preventing any unwanted movement during the critical phase of pouring molten lead into the cavities, thereby ensuring dimensional accuracy and uniformity of each projectile.

Equipped with an anodized, extra-hard sprue plate and cutter, the mold guarantees a clean, precise cut of the cast bullets, eliminating excess lead and producing perfectly finished projectiles ready for sizing and lubrication.

Note that the indicated projectile weights may vary depending on the specific alloy composition used during casting, which can affect density and ballistic performance.

The mold set includes the necessary tongs for opening and closing, providing a complete solution for immediate use in your reloading workflow.

For optimal performance and longevity, it is highly recommended to thoroughly degrease the mold prior to initial use. Additionally, seasoning the mold by smoking or applying a manufacturer-recommended mold treatment product will enhance release properties and extend mold life.

Under no circumstances should the interior cavity surfaces be lubricated, as this can compromise bullet integrity and mold precision.

Light lubrication of the sprue plate retention screw is advised to maintain smooth operation and prevent seizing during repeated casting cycles.
